SDI energy systems trade mission and learning journey – New York 2018

By 21st March 2018 April 18th, 2019 No Comments

Later this month our very own Graeme Robertson, VP Sales and Marketing, will be attending the Scottish Development International energy systems trade mission and learning journey in New York. This fantastic experience is set for 26th March – 29th March 2018  and will provide select Scottish businesses with a platform to build on new ideas and seek out opportunities in New York and across the United States.

The event includes attendance at AEC 2018. The 10th annual conference will celebrate the industry’s achievements in new areas of power generation, witness promising new areas of research, and allow networking with the leaders who are exploring those technologies and shaping global energy policies. Under the banner “THE FUTURE OF ENERGY IS HERE”, we can’t wait to see what the state of New York has to offer.

Speaking earlier with Graeme, he said:

“We plan to build on our US market entry earlier this year to find further channel partners and opportunities for co-development and strategic co-investment. There’s lots of opportunities in the US for Scottish clean tech companies and we hope NetThings can capitalise on this mission with the support of SDI”.

New York State is a 1.5 trillion USD economy. And it’s estimated in the New York State Energy Plan, that between 2015 to 2025, 30 billion USD will need to be invested to replace New York’s aging electric transmission and distribution infrastructure just to meet currently projected demand. Look out on our blog and social media for real time updates from Graeme and a post-event roundup.
