We recently announced that our company had received ISO9001:2008 and ISO14001:2004 certification. Certification is widely considered to be a useful tool to add credibility to a business or product as it demonstrates a level of trust with your customers that can only be obtained through certification bodies who issue certificates based on the international standards set out by ISO. Here is some more information about our certification:

ISO9001:2008, the world’s leading quality management standard, is under revision and an updated version is due for release in 2015. Although we have been certified to ISO9001:2008 we will be given a transition period to migrate to the new edition of the standard. All ISO standards are reviewed every five years to ensure they remain relevant within the marketplace, and therefore not all are updated. With quality management at the forefront of this standard, the 2015 version will follow a new, higher level structure to make it easier to use with other management system standards and with increased importance given to risk.

The ISO14000 family of standards provide practical tools for companies and organisations of all kinds looking to manage their environmental responsibilities. ISO 14001:2004 sets out the criteria for an environmental management system by mapping out a framework that a company or organisation can follow.

Using ISO 14001:2004 can provide assurance to company management and employees as well as external stakeholders that environmental impact is being measured and improved.

We’re particularly pleased about these standards as it helps offer reassurance to our customers that we take quality seriously, not just our own, but throughout our supply chain, meaning our customers can be confident of the repeatable quality of the products and services that they buy from us, as well as the on going support we are able to offer. People can buy from us with complete confidence and know that what they are buying reaches a high repeatable quality as well as being as sustainable as is feasible.
